You may have noticed that we like pet photos here at PawSpot. And we like contests. And pet photo contests-what could be better?
How about a pet photo contest for a good cause? We love that.
By entering the PAWS FOR THE CURE photo contest, you can help support the National Canine Cancer Foundation (NCCF) while competing for one of 13 great prizes for you and your pet.
To most dog owners, your dog is part of your family. And if your dog had cancer wouldn't you do everything you could to save their life. This means funding the research that will culminate in a cure for canine cancer. That is what NCCF is asking for. Did you know that 1 out of every 3 dogs dies of cancer? You could be saving your own dog's life.
It's easy, requires no fee for entering, and all proceeds benefit this highly-respected non-profit organization dedicated to cancer research and treatment for dogs.

How It Works
It's simple. Members upload their favorite photo of their pets to the contest gallery and then try to attract as many donations to NCCF from other PawSpotters as they can.
To enter, you simply fill out the Entry Form and upload your favorite photo of your pet. You'll need to be a PawSpot member, but that's easy enough to become. And neither joining PawSpot nor entering your photo in the contest costs you anything.
To win, tell all your pet-loving friends and family members about the PAWS FOR THE CURE Photo Contest. Your friends can show their generosity by visiting the contest gallery and browsing photos and donating to their favorites. In this contest, votes are donations. They'll buy donation credits, to apply to votes for their favorite photos (each donation credit costs $2 and goes directly to the NCCF). On June 1st, the pet photos that have attracted the most donations win. I am sure our presidential nominees wish that our elections were that easy. It's just like our past photo contests except now everyone can vote as often as they like. In fact, the more people who vote by donating, the happier we'll be. It means more funding for NCCF's important work so, the more the merrier!
The Prizes
There will be 10 winners and each will receive a gift certificate from Dog.com and will choose from the pool of prizes from our other sponsors. Winners will select prizes in order of ranking until all the prizes have been awarded, so you'll want to aim for the top. In addition, the person whose photo raised the most donations will be a guest on best-selling author and radio host Tracie Hotchner's Dog Talk or Cat Chat radio program.
