Bunny's Bio
Name -
My registered name is Plum Bayou Easter because I was born on Easter at Plum Bayou Farm. Everyone calls me Bunny though, which I like a lot better than the name Easter.
Breed -
I'm registered as an American Warmblood. Really though, I'm a Thoroughbred (3/4) x Shire (1/4) cross. My sire is a full-blooded Thoroughbred and my dam is a half-and-half Thoroughbred x Shire cross.
Personality -
I'm a real sweet horse when I want to be, but I can be moody if I feel like it. I'm really well bonded to my Mom, even if I occassionally give her a hard time.
Riding -
I love going fast when I'm being ridden. I feel like I could gallop and gallop for miles. I love jumping too, but mostly Mom and I do flatwork/dressage. Hopefully we'll start jumping again soon.
I used to compete in 3 Day Events a lot when I was younger. But ever since I became prone to colic, I became just pleasure horse for Mom for awhile, more like a pet. But now Mom and I have been working hard again, and maybe one day we'll get back into showing.
My Home -
Mom boards me at the stable where she works. I live in a large field with seven other mares. We're turned out all the time and only come in our stalls to eat - we do have shelter though to get out of the weather if we want. I love it at this stable, and I love that I see my Mom so often because she works there five days a week.

Special Needs
Bunny has colicked about six or seven times in her life and had to have surgery once. Because of this, she cannot handle eating much grain and only gets a handful of oats per feeding. She cannot have sweet feed! She can however eat all the grass and hay she wants. She also needs plenty of exercise to keep her in shape.

Arrival Story

My Mom bought me when I was 5 years old. My old owner wanted to take me to one more show, so my Mom said ok. But I colicked really bad at the show and needed surgery. So Mom and I haven't shown anymore, but she loves me too much to sell me or anything.
