Meet: Gimli

we found Gimli (then known as "Camp") on Petfinder.com and fell in love with him and his 4 brothers and sisters. After a bit of major prodding on my part, my husband finally agreed to adopt, and we put in our application. Less than a week later, Marin and I were driving out to Pennsylvania to meet a volunteer transport of more than 18 dogs coming up from a rescue shelter in Alabama. He was scared and shaking... we couldn't even get him out of his kennel when we got home. But once he came out and got to exploring the house, the change was almost instantaneous, and he is already, calm, playful, friedly, and--from what we can tell--very happy. The stress and trauma of the shelter and transport seem to be behind him now.
