Kittie's Bio
Name -
You're probably thinking that my Mom isn't the most creative person in the world. Well, when I was just a stray, Mom would call me over to her for food and love by calling "here kitty kitty kitty" and I got used to it and learned to respond to "Kitty". When Mom decided that she was officially my Mom, she tried to come up with a new name for me but nothing fit - I was already "Kitty". At least Mom used a little creative liscence on the spelling, and I was dubbed "Kittie".
Playtime -
Although I'm not a kitten anymore, I can be pretty playful and affectionate when I want to be. My favorite toy is my feather pouncer. I love it when Mom teases me with it and I will run all over trying to pounce and catch the feathers. I also like lazerpointers, but sometimes they confuse and therefore annoy me. I also enjoy a good scratching post or matt - even better if it's got catnip on it! And contrary to popular belief, sometimes the best cat toys are the cheapest - I love to play in cardboard boxes and paper bags!
Family -
My Mom is really the family member that I'm closest to. When she first adopted me, she had a roommate but I didn't bond to the roommate like I did to Mom. Mom was the one that fed me and took me in and took care of me. Roommates and significant others came and went, and then one stuck around for awhile and Mom wound up marrying him so now he's my Dad. Right now my Dad is gone though; he's a soldier in the Army National Guard and is on his way to Iraq for a year long deployment. We all miss him around here and hope he can come home safe and sound as soon as possible. Oh, and Mom says that the other animals around here are also family.. but I don't know about that. *sigh* I guess it's true, afterall, you don't always have to get along with your siblings, right?
Food -
Mom learned a lot since she's adopted me. I was her first pet cat really. When I was just a stray, Mom would just pick up some cheap cat food from where ever. But once she adopted me, she looked into feeding me something better. Right now I'm on Nutro, but Mom is in the process of switching me to Nature's Variety Grain Free. She also hopes to put me on a raw diet eventually. I'm a really picky eater though with a finicky stomach, so it's been difficult.

I used to be an abandoned stray. I would roam around some apartments looking for food and hoping someone would feed me and love me. One day I saw a girl sitting on her front porch and she looked nice, so I trotted up to her and demanded that she pet me. Of course my charm took affect and she fed me as well. I hung around all the time after that, and she would feed me and love on me all the time. Finally she let me in her apartment, and I realized how good the indoor life was. After that I never wanted to go back outside again. I'll just watch the outside world from the window sill, thanks.
