We adopted Lucan from San Clemente Animal shelter in 2006, he was 3 months old at that time. He was originally a pet shop puppy. His previous owner bought him and after 3 days decided that her two chihuahuas did not like him. So she put him in the shelter. After a stressful application process and interviews we were chosen to become Lucans new parents (mind you there were many applications put in for his adoption). But we got chosen! :) Ever since we have been the best of friends...Lucan was a very sick puppy from the day we got him. He had giardia and other intestinal worms, and all sorts of funky rashes. Also he was allergic to teh food that was fed to him at the shelter..and just recently we found out that he has a life long condition called zinc responsive dermatitis. We are doing everything we can for Lucan, because he is our BEST FRIEND!!!
