Don't kennel...call me, a dog sitter. Keep reading to see why! When you're away your dog misses you terribly. In fact, most dogs go through severe separation anxiety when left without their owner. Dogs are creatures of habit and when life (i.e. a vacation, emergency, or just plain alone time) butts in.... your dog may not handle it well. So what do you do? You put him in a kennel that the best money can buy! Right? Wrong. Although kennels have professionally trained staff persons and vets on site typically, your dog may not be as comfortable as you might like to think. Keep these things in mind when kenneling: your dog is in a new environment, he or she is exposed to all different types of animals, your dog is out of his regular environment and thus out of his or her regular routine and lastly, even though the kennel staff may have the best intentions, your dog will seldome get 24 hr, around the clock, one-on-one attention catered to your dogs specific needs. Sounds bad, I know... So, what do I suggest? First option - take your loved one with you if you can. Second - leave your loved one with someone he or she is very familiar with. Or Third - call me. I spend my spare time taking care of dogs when their parent(s) are unavailable. I cater to your dogs needs around the clock. Plus, your dog can stay in his or her regular environment and routine. I'll come to your home and take care of your dog just the way he or she is used to. If Fluffy needs to be walked for an hour, ran for 2 and cuddled for 3... I'm on it! If Buddy needs to go to the beach on Saturday to catch some rays, I'm on it! Whatever your beloved dog needs, I'll do. About me: I came up with this idea when I moved to California from Texas. I was forced to kennel my dogs for a week until I found a place to live that accepted two dogs. It was then that I realized that although we-dog lovers see our pets as children, the rest of the world doesn't. Dogs are socially unaccepted in several places. I then realized how much I would have loved to have someone come and stay with my dogs and take care of them when I was away. Thus I have decided to offer my dog-loving services to others. Please feel free to contact me with questions. I can't wait to meet your 4-legged furball. I do charge an unbelievably affordable fee. Thanks. Jessica
